 | "hamesha ladka galat nahi hota" may not be the exact understanding of the film, not even, that men getting together to write a film on MeToo, hence a misogynistic portrayal of the issue; I don't think so at all. I am absolutely in awe of the crafty way in which the film is written. (not taking any sides but giving both perspectives to a situation). Even the confession from the director himself. There were endless possibilities to frame the affair story coming from the accused Director, but the way it has been framed, very strategically keeps you confused as to is anyone actually innocent, based on moral, ethical and legal foregrounds. It never tries to show that the film director is innocent good man; rather it exposes the way in which he manipulates the junior worker's emotions into submitting to his lusty advances (which I have seen in reality, many men actually do, in power or not, who wish to start a relationship with a girl), that is what I like about the movie. It has no honest intention to stigmatize girls. I do not agree at all that this film takes MeToo movement a step backwards, neither does it say that there are no sexual predators in workplaces or elsewhere, but that condemnation in the court of law should be only and only on the basis of legal/ethical grounds (exact black and white) and not based on emotional swing or moral values. The only thing I have objection with is the explicit ending. There was no need to give the last dialogue to Meera Chopra. It could have been subtle and open ended. Here I second TRP's review video.  | Just got home from watching this movie. Akshaye killed it. It was riveting all the way to the end. Thank God movies like these don't assume the audience are a bunch of idiots. It was a very intelligent film. Awesome performance by Akshaye. He carried the film solely on his shoulders and did so so well. Great script and very well written dialogues. Richa didn't fit the role. She was misplaced and struggled in her acting for some reason. On a side note, does she not know how to walk in heels. She looked very awkward. No variation in her facial expression throughout the film and no effort to really act like a lawyer in mannerisms or giving any specific traits to the character. Had she done more of all that, it would have been a much more interesting battle to watch. Now, it's just Akshay Khanna who takes the limelight and very good acting in every scene.
